Update on eldar.

This past week I've been able to dedicate more time to my eldar. I didn't paint much though, and I have Final Fantasy 13 to blame for that. If any of you have a ps3 (or a 360) get that game, rent it or borrow it.

Also I started playing Dawn of War 2 Multiplayer. If any of you have played that game, I'm playing Last Stand. Basically they give you a HQ unit and you have to survive waves of enemies with 2 other people. So far I have liked the Hive Tyrant way more than the farseer. I guess a lone farseer doesn't do much without support from the craftworld. Unlike the Tyrant that can summon a few tyranids to help out. Can't wait for the next expansion to come out 0.0

Anyways, regarding my Eldar, I have finished painting 1 Dire Avenger, and 1 Guardian. I started doing an all black theme with my guardian, but I wasn't digging it, so I put some gray in between armor pieces. I was thinking of adding some washes to them, specially on the gray parts. The Dire Avenger I did some stuff different from what I saw in the codex too. I put some Necron Abyss on the bottom, then did Mordian Blue with Enchanted Blue for some of the armor parts. I don't like the cloth much, but I figured I'll be learning how to paint cloth before taking on the warlocks/farseers.

So far I'm liking them, I hope I can test them out in a game soon :P

Can't wait for vacations!!

With my eldar home I feel like vacations are taking forever to come. Haven't been able to even finish reading the Codex :(

I started painting a Dire Avenger, and I feel this one is looking better than my orks (now owned by my brother) Anyways, I have spent a little more than double the time I spent on each individual ork, but I definitely feel it has been worth it. I will post pictures as soon as I'm done.

Reading the codex I feel like Eldar was definitely the best choice of race I could have made. Everything I've read about them has pumped me up, and I finally chose a CraftWorld. My Eldar forces will be Ulthwe.

Anyways, as customary I will post a pic of a drawing I did while in class...

It feels like christmas!

Short but sweet post IMO.

Today my stuff arrived, along with some other stuff for my fellow players.

Images speak louder than words so here it goes.

New Eldar.

Been reading on Eldar fluff, and I like them more by the day. I will definitely enjoy killing orks/necrons/tau/tyranid with them. Also been reading on how they play and they sound so complicated and tough to play. It sounds awesome :P

My brother showed me some tips for painting Eldar tanks, and I believe I can do something like that, and my wave serpent definitely fits the job to try them out.

I started working on my Wave Serpent today. Just taking off the lines and rough edges, but so excited to start working on it. Here is its progress.

Got my battleforce on saturday. On my excitement for opening my eldar minis I did some drawing mid class. Here are some pics for your amusement/enjoyment.

I guess I'll be working more during the week and hopefully I'll start painting soon.

First post

I'll be talking in this blog about our warhammer 40k escapades in Guatemala, and hopefully get some more members in our little community. Which has been growing a lot lately, almost doubled in size in a few weeks.

We got Hellboy who will be fielding an awesome army of Tyranids, and my cousin who will be getting a Tau battleforce.

Talking with Hellboy, he has a pretty good Idea to make our hobby more widespread in Guatemala. He is going to find about anime conventions where we can take our minis and spread the word!

Also I don't want to be the one who only posts text, here are a few pics of my work in progress. (AoBR orks)
